Minnie the Pit Bull at 4 1/2 months....

Minnie the Pit Bull was saved from a shelter on the west side of Chicago where even police officers were refused pit bull adoptions because of the frequent dog fights in the neighborhood. Once Minnie was shipped to the West Loop Canine Club—thanks to the efforts of Ann from the Lake Shore Animal Shelter—she was adopted by Zak Mucha.

Minnie spends her days chewing knucklebones and bounding head-first into doors. She has, so far, declared war on the kitchen ceiling fan, a couple of storefront wooden Indians on Wells Street, helicopters, and the moon. Odds favor Minnie.

Minnie the Pit Bull at 6 1/2 years....

Minnie the Pit Bull is no longer a puppy and enjoys a little help getting airborne these days.
