A homeless man was attacked by a group of vigilantes after a Facebook post wrongly accused him of attacking women, California police said.
The man, who identified himself as Paul Rodriguez in a Facebook video, was assaulted at a gas station Friday night, the same day a post about him went viral, Modesto police said.

The girl was incarcerated in Dallas County Henry Wade Juvenile Detention Center, Rowlett police told the Daily News.

Five arrested in vicious, videotaped beating of defenseless Philadelphia high school student
Philadelphia police have arrested five people for the brutal beating of a 17-year-old high school student that was videotaped and then went viral on the Internet.
The cellphone video shows the boy cowering under the blows of a gang attack, and rolling into a ball to protect himself from being repeatedly kicked and punched. At one point, a male hits him in the face with a traffic cone, breaking his teeth.
