Former Idaho high school football player pleads not guilty to sexually assaulting mentally disabled teammate with coat hanger
"John Howard, who now lives in Texas, was in court Tuesday on the felony charge of forcible sexual penetration by the use of a foreign object.
Howard, 18, and two of his teammates are accused in the vicious Oct. 22 attack of another student at Dietrich High School in southern Idaho.

Five University of Alabama fraternity brothers accused of hazing
" Five members of University of Alabama's Phi Gamma Delta fraternity were arrested on hazing charges Wednesday, officials said.
Pledges at the frat burned their feet when they stood in buckets of ice and salt at the brothers' command, according to reports cited by AL.com.
University officials didn't reveal the nature of the hazing allegations but said campus police officers cuffed the brothers after an investigation by UA police and the Office of Student Conduct."

Former Florida A&M band member sentenced in hazing death
"A former Florida A&M University band member was sentenced Friday to four years in prison for his role in the 2011 death of a drum major, an incident that cast a harsh spotlight on the culture of hazing at the public school in Tallahassee.
The Associated Press reported that Caleb Jackson, 26, had pleaded no contest to manslaughter and hazing.
Robert Champion, the drum major, from Decatur, Ga., died after members of the Marching 100 band pummeled him with fists and instruments, AP reported."
